This policy explains what personal information Drainflix collects when you visit drainflix.com or buy from our store, how we use it, and who we share it with. Information we collect
When you place an order
We collect your name, email address, billing address, shipping address, phone number (when you give one) and the contents of your order. We need this to take payment, produce your items and get them to you.
Payment information
Card payments are processed by WooPayments, which is powered by Stripe. Your card number, expiry date and security code are entered directly into Stripe’s payment fields and are never sent to or stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of the result, the card brand and the last four digits.
When you contact us
Our contact form collects your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, company and the message you write. Submissions are emailed to us and stored in the website’s database so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
Automatically collected
Like most websites, our host records standard technical information in server logs: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. Our caching and security tooling uses this to keep the site running and to detect abuse.
Cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
- Essential: remembering the contents of your shopping cart, keeping you signed in if you have an account, and completing checkout. The store cannot function without these.
- Performance: our caching system uses cookies to serve pages quickly.
- Fraud prevention: Stripe sets cookies to detect fraudulent payment activity.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store — the cart and checkout in particular — will stop working.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the companies that help us run the business:
- WooPayments / Stripe — payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Printful — production and shipping of mugs and other print-on-demand items. They receive your name, shipping address and what you ordered. Fine art prints and apparel are made and packed by us, so no third party sees your details for those.
- WooCommerce Shipping and carriers (USPS, UPS, DHL) — shipping labels and delivery of items we ship ourselves. They receive your name, address and parcel details.
- Hostinger — website hosting and email infrastructure.
- Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.
- YouTube — videos on our portfolio pages are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode, which means YouTube does not set tracking cookies unless you press play.
We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights.
Marketing
We will only send you marketing email if you have asked us to. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using it or by emailing us. Order confirmations, shipping notices and replies to your enquiries are not marketing and will still be sent.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and warranty purposes — generally seven years, in line with US record-keeping expectations. Contact form submissions are kept for up to two years. Server logs are kept for a short period, typically no more than 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- give you a copy of it;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons;
- stop sending you marketing.
Email info@drainflix.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you these rights specifically, including the right to know what is collected and to request deletion. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under that Act.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you also have the right to object to processing, to request that we restrict it, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, payment details go directly to our payment processor, and access to order data is limited to accounts that need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
Our store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be made clear on the site.
